And in Hollywood....

And in Hollywood - Where reality is just another thing you fake

You’ve heard how Barry Manilow pulled out of an appearance on the ‘View’ because of Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s conservativism? “I strongly disagree with her views. I think she’s dangerous and offensive. I will not be on the same stage as her.” The gals at the ‘View’ should thanks their lucky stars. Turns out Barry Manilow music is the punish of choice in Fort Lupton, Colorado. Play your rap too loud and you’ll be sentenced to 1 hour of ‘offensive’ music. Dolly Parton, Karen Carpenter, Barry Manilow and Barney to name a few. The offenders are not allowed to chew gum, eat, drink, read or doze off. That last one is really really hard. Judge Paul Sacco put it bluntly. “When you have a person playing rap at extreme volumes all over the city, and they have to sit down and listen for an hour to Barry Manilow, its horrible punishment.” Thank the Lord and pass the earplugs!

Jacko Forever Wacko. Michael Jackson and the kiddies took in “The Lion King” at New York’s Minskoff Theatre recently. Paris, Prince and Blanket had on wigs, baseball caps and weird ornate costumes. While Michael went his kids one step further by painting his face ghost white and hiding behind sunglasses. The cast was just thrilled to see Wacko, a true goddess in the religion of divadom.

All the News That's Fit to Quip!

News Fit to Quip Remember - no one is perfect - until they write their campaign literature of course

Mark your calendars! The Iranians have an ‘October Surprise’ for all supporters of Israel. At the UN Tuesday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told us “arrogant powers” that their nuclear program is a closed issue - butt out. While back home, the Iranian government is busy preparing their “final response” to those who don’t kiss their messianic butt. So mark October 12th on your calendars ‘cause on Qods Day the West just may find out exactly how well the UN’s ‘Nice doggy - doggy’ worked.

The U.S. military says Iran is smuggling weapons into Iraq - RPG-29 rocket-propelled grenade, 240 mm rockets, armor-piercing roadside bombs and infrared guided surface-to-air missile. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on CBS’ “60 Minutes” Sunday that, “We don’t need to do that. We are very much opposed to war and insecurity.” But a little world domination - hey, that’s another matter.

Saturday Iran had a parade of weapons with slogans. “The Iranian nation is ready to bring any oppressive power to its knees.” That’s from the supreme thug Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Of course there were the old standbys of, “Death to America” “Death to Israel.” Iran’s revolutionary founding thug Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was quoted too. “Israel should be eliminated” and “No Iranian Muslim, no Muslim recognizes Israel.” And what did Mohammad Jaafari, the head of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards warn? “My message to the enemy is that they will regret it (an attack). Do not do it.” My gut feeling is - offer one of these Iranian clown acts a penny for their thoughts - and you’ve over paid.

Report From Liliputian Land

Report From Liliputian Land - Where it’s the ANNOYING who inherit the earth

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad must have felt right at home at Columbia University. He runs Iran as a penitentiary. And his buddy by intent, the insulting President Lee Bollinger runs Columbia University as a penitentiary too - a penitentiary of thought. At Columbia only the thought police crowd has free speech. But Columbia is a great university and is religious in its own way. In fact, the Science Department did some genetic experiments last year and crossed a mosquito with a praying mantis. Damn thing evolved into a Liberal that says grace before it bites you.

Columbia University protesters quash Minuteman speech

It’s Presidential election time again and the Happy Hollywood Dems are dragging out and dusting off their favorite boogeyman - the “poor widers and c’hldren”. This time some of the ‘poor’ they need to pick our pockets for earn 60% more than the rest of us. Hey you Happy Hollywood don’t expand SCHIP (for State Children’s Health Insurance Program). I got a cheaper idea on how to improve our kid’s lousy health. Get them to cut WAY down on their drive by shootings!

This week’s nomination for The Politician Hall of Infamy goes to New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer. Last year while running for governor, Spitzer spit in everybody’s face about his incorruptibility. He was a reformer going to after big money in politics. Scams - OUT. Cover-ups - UNCOVERED. Big Money Contributors - “UNILATERALLY DISARM!” Turns out what he really meant was everybody else’s BIG MONEY, SCAMS and COVER-UPS. Cover-up: His top aides sicced the cops on Senate GOP Joseph Bruno with false charges of misusing official transportation resources. Funny Money? This year alone, he’s taken millions from ‘influential New York individuals, law firms, corporate partnerships and political action committees and labor unions.’ And corruption? Seems in order to harvest future illegal aliens’s votes, he’s willing to sacrifice the security of NY and the country as a whole. Brooklyn state senator Golden says hell NO to Spit the Spitzer’s dropping citizenship proof for getting a driver’s licenses. “This governor has chosen to give the keys to the city, the keys to the state to terrorism.” Hey, Golden - let’s hope Spitzer becomes a man of convictions - as in Federal and State.

Sleaze-noid News

Sleaze-noid News With two sides to every story - Local and Network

Old Danny boy is BACK!!! Dan Rather is suing CBS for $70 million. See, CBS had the gall to make HIM the “scapegoat” for HIS biased and just plain bad reporting job. ‘Cause Dan is or was just a talking head at CBS. And it wasn’t his fault that his producer used fake documents. Except, they weren’t fake see. They DID show Bush’s National Guard commander doctored Bush’s record. That Bush had disobeyed orders and shirked his duties. Remember the runup to the 2004 Presidential elections when Bloggers came into their own and expertly rubbed Rather’s nose in what was really doctored - his ‘evidence.’ Ah come on Dan give it up. You’re giving failure a bad name.

Be still my beating heart. Seems to me that The New York Times is constantly rearranging facts to fit their punchline. So when one of NYT’s elite finds fault with the Gray Lady ya gotta take note. New York Times Public Editor Clark Hoyt thinks the MoveOn.org ad stinks. “The Times had maintained for a week that the standby rate (half price) was appropriate, but a company spokeswoman told me late Thursday afternoon that an advertising sales representative made a mistake.” AND a NYT acceptability manual that says, “We do not accept opinion advertisements that are attacks of a personal nature.” Of course true to NYT nature the problem was not the act but that it took the heat off Bush, the Iraqi war and “gave fresh ammunition to a cottage industry that loves to bash The Times as a bastion of the “liberal media.” Yep Hoyt, ya gotta love America - land of the free and fringe realities.

The Chicken Little Weather Report

The Chicken Little Report - The weather - brought to you by Bossy - and a good MOOO to you!

Remember how we’re always being told to be careful what you wish for. If greenhouse gases are truly the cause of global warming, then the things our ‘Green’ Messiahs want - using biofuels rather than fossil fuels will make things worse. Seem those little plants when burned release a far more potent gas, nitrous oxide - “296 times more powerful as a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide.” Ooooops! But like I always say, for some - the will to feel sanctimonious is a lot stronger than the will to survive.

Scientists Speak Out Against AP’s Climate Change Fear-mongering
By Noel Sheppard
September 24, 2007

Scientists from all over the world are coming out strongly against an inexcusably hysterical article recently published by the planet’s leading wire service.

As NewsBusters reported Saturday, the Associated Press published an unbelievably disgraceful article about global warming induced sea level rises supposedly destined to wipe out large amounts of American coastal communities in the next 100 years…

State of Florida Climatologist Dr. Jim O’Brien of Florida State University countered the AP article.

The best measurements of sea level rise are from satellite instrument called altimeters. Currently they measure 14 inches in 100 years. Everyone agrees that there is no acceleration. Even the UN IPCC quotes this,” O’Brien wrote to EPW on September 23. O’Brien is also the director of the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies.

If you increase the rate of rise by four times, it will take 146 years to rise to five feet. Sea level rise is the ‘scare tactic’ for these guys,” O’Brien added.

Climate researcher Dr Vincent Gray, of New Zealand, an expert reviewer on every single draft of the IPCC reports going back to 1990:

The IPCC never makes ‘predictions’, only ‘projections’; what might happen, or be ‘likely” if you believe the assumptions in the model. No computer model has ever been shown to be capable of successful prediction,” Gray wrote to the Inhofe EPW Press Blog on September 23.

Actual data on sea levels are unreliable. Long term figures are based on tide-gauge measurements near port cities prone to subsidence and damage of equipment from severe weather. Many recent and more reliable measurements show little recent change. Satellite measurements have shown a recent rise which may be temporary,” Gray added…

And in Hollywood....

And in Hollywood - Where reality is just another thing you fake

This week’s Hollywood news brought to you from ‘crime doesn’t pay’ category of life. First up is everybody’s favorite fruit drink - O.J. Simpson. The ‘juice’ got squeezed by the Las Vegas police on Sunday and charged Tuesday with ten felonies including kidnapping and armed robbery for conducting a ‘sting’ to get his ‘stuff’ back. Fellow arrestee, Walter Alexander thinks O.J. was tricked because the memorabilia dealer who called O.J. about the stolen ‘stuff’ taped recorded everything. “It sounds like a setup to me.” And listen to those tapes! You can hear just how mad O.J. was. So mad he tore three days off one guy’s calendar watch!

Next is the Phil Spector murder trial. A couple of weeks ago Spector’s lawyers took a gamble. They asked the judge to instruct the jurors to find the music producer either guilty of murder or not guilty - no lesser charges please. Seems the strategy is working because the jury has declared an impasse. Some of the jurors say they’re stuck while others say they’re not with one juror wanting more info on ‘reasonable doubt.’ This must seem like deja vu for Spector. Once he went into a bank with a surefire proposition but didn’t get a dime. His gun jammed.

All the News That's Fit to Quip!

News Fit to Quip Remember - no one is perfect - until they write their campaign literature of course

Presidential candidate Rep. Tom Tancredo, (R-CO) wants to know why new Federal regulations have different standards for illegals and U.S. citizens held in local jails. “I think most citizens would think it extremely bizarre for the federal government to say that Tasers must never be used on an illegal alien when their use is legal for citizens. Where in federal law or regulations is it mandated that illegal aliens held in custody must have an assigned ‘bed’ rather than a ‘pad’ when the use of pads is legal for U.S. citizens? Why is there a different standard for the accommodation of illegal aliens than for citizens?” This week as the Senate tries to sneak through another version of amnesty for illegals, let’s consider the contempt for American citizens that runs through Congress. And you know, if that sucker walked, it might be easier to catch.

As the Arm Chair Generals of Congress plot our defeat in Iraq, seems the Surge has gained new recruits. Shiite sheiks are discussing creating a brigade of young men to be trained by Americans so they can do to local extremists what Sunni clansmen are currently doing to the al-Qaida. Wade Weems, head of a Provincial Reconstruction Team conducting the talks with the Shitte sheiks says, “It’s an anti-militia movement … Shiite extremists of all stripes. We see consistently expressed deep frustration or anger with the activities of militia that appear to be untethered to any sort of guiding authority, appear to be really criminal in nature.” Guess the sheiks are tired of Iraq being populated by only two types of people, victims and perpetrators.

Do they or don’t they, only Syria knows for sure. Seems foreign thugs entering Iraq from Syria has dropped by 1/2 to 2/3 over the last few months. Gen. David H. Petraeus calls it, “An early indication of a trend.” But who’s doing the trending. One intelligence official said it’s the Syrians. But others say it’s a combo of increased U.S. operations against al-Qaeda with help from the biggest supplier of terrorist, Saudi Arabia. I’ll vote for the second theory considering what happed last week. Israel bombed a site in Syria that some are calling a North Korean nuclear cache that arrived three days earlier via ship, labeled ‘cement.’ Ah, yes - the Middle East’s mantra ‘A Better Life Through Death.’

Report From Liliputian Land

Report From Liliputian Land - Where it’s the ANNOYING who inherit the earth

Now it’s our Party: we bought it, we own it, and we’re going to take it back,” saith Moveon.org’s e-mail on December 9, 2004. Seems like one of the items Moveon.org bought was Hillary Clinton. During the Senate hearing last week, she all but called General Petraeus a lair when she told Petraeus that his testimony, “requires the willing suspension of disbelief.” My how Hillary can flip. In 2002 she voted to authorize military action in Iraq saying, “If left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. He has also given aid, comfort and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. So it is with conviction that I support this resolution as being in the best interests in our nation.” That’s old Hil - flipping before she flopped.

Federal Reserve chairman Greenspan wrote in his just published memoir ‘The Age of Turbulence: Adventures in a New World’ that “the Iraq War is largely about oil.” The $%$^&# hit the fan. Saturday The Washington Post published an interview with ‘The Oblique One’ who clarified the quote from his book. “I was not saying that that’s the administration’s motive. I’m just saying that if somebody asked me, ‘Are we fortunate in taking out Saddam?’ I would say it was essential” to secure global oil supplies.” ‘The Oblique One’ also says in his book that the 2001 tax cut was a mistake. But in 2001 he testified before Congress that a tax cut would help the economy’s sagging growth. And it did. The 2001 recession only lasted 9 months. Guess when Greenspan was in college trying to get a handle on his communication skills - it broke.
